Well I've been in Denmark for 6 months! Crazy crazy..
In the last few weeks quite a bit has happened! I'll try to just focus on the important ones so this isn't too long!
I got to go to Copenhagen again with my design class! We went to some design museums, and looked at some nice buildings and it was really enjoyable! It's close enough that we made a day trip out of it. We left at about 8:15 and got there at 10:30 and came back later that day at around 5. Denmark has both really old beautiful buildings, and new modern buildings. We saw both :)

In the design museum there were lots of chairs. It was actually super interesting. I went to another design museum last week with a friend and some rotarians and it also had many chairs in it.

Another fun thing I saw in the last few weeks was the mound that "Egtved Pigen" (The Egtved Girl- Egtved is a town) was buried. Her clothing is preserved from 1300 B.C. The body wasn't there because it's in a museum in Copenhagen. It was still really interesting though. I also went and visited some famous Danish sculptures with my host parents.

We had a few choir performances at school, and we're having our final one in March.

| The three lovelies girl I was sharing a microphone with are also exchange student. This is our school in our large cantina. |
My host sister was an exchange student in Chile, and her host mom came to visit. That was fun! She doesn't really speak english and we didn't really speak spanish (except for my host sister) so the translations were always kinda fun. We went to a spa and had some real "tøsser hygger" which is like our equivalent to like a girls night I suppose. It was really nice!
We also went up to Odense and visited the Hans Christian Andersen Museum. It's funny to hear how many of the stories from my childhood are from him. He lived in Odense at the same time my ancestors lived there and at that time there were only 6,000 people living there. Makes you wonder!

Probably the biggest thing that has happened since the last time I updated this bad boy is Galla! It's like our equivalent to Prom! It was super fun and all the exchange students went together. I got ready at a friends house and I forgot my shoes.. so I ended up wearing a pair of snake skin boots from a friend.. oh well. My Mom sent me my prom dress from the states so I got good use out of it :)

Another fun thing I did was go up to a city called Aalborg in the north of Denmark with Rachael for a music festival. We went with my Bishop from church because his music class was going up. I don't have a lot of pictures from it, but it was fun none the less. I've noticed Danes really encourage music with young people. At school events they always have music provided by students and it's just really cool to see how they encourage and support them with it.
This last Thursday I got to go to Cirque Du Soleil with my third family, and that was also really fun! This upcoming week is a Winter Holiday so I don't have any school. So I think I'll just spend it hanging out with friends and relaxing! Should be good :) Today is a Danish Holiday called Fastelavns Dag. It's kinda similar to Halloween but only small children celebrate it. But they do eat these super yummy pastries for Fastelavns Dag which I quite enjoyed.
Anyways! Sorry this blog has been kinda all over the place. I guess that's what happens when you don't update it for over a month. School is going well and I can follow along more and more everyday. The other day in English class we made a video project and I heard myself speaking English with an American accent and was disgusted by how it sounded. That was really weird. When I speak English here I'm not speaking it with Americans most of the time, so the English accent I'm now used to is not an American one. That was a little strange. My family back home has told me I have a funny accent after skyping them, so I guess it goes both ways! But ya, thanks for reading! Sorry again about the disorganization, and I hope all is well wherever you may be reading this from! :)
